Kobra brings with her over 10 years of experience in system and network administration, design and implementation. Her responsibilities include maintaining and further enhancing our security as well as assisting with our eDiscovery processes.
Q. How has working at an eDiscovery company benefited you?
“The training programs that have been offered at NearZero Discovery to me in both IT and eDiscovery fields have helped me to improve my knowledge and skills. At NearZero Discovery, there are always opportunities to be hands on and learn from others. From a personal perspective, I have received a boost in my spiritual health as result of working with pure and faithful people.”
Q. How did working from home change your workflow?
“There are some advantages and disadvantages of working from home: Helping my daughter in online learning increased my screen time and I had lots of distractions. But spending more time with family, saving time and money for commute were some benefits.”
Q. What has been your biggest challenge during the pandemic?
“Not being able to travel and visit my family has been my biggest challenge. Also, mental and physical health of my family and friends, especially my daughter that started grade one last year was a big challenge for me. I have tried to support my family in abroad with calls as they had/have a hard time during pandemic.”
Q. What are the major differences between working at home and in office?
“I enjoy grabbing coffee for myself and my colleagues on the way to office, seeing them, and having chitchats and discussions with them. But also, you can enjoy your beautiful backyard and do not need to shovel all the driveway in the early cold morning when you work from home.”
Q. How have you been staying active during COVID-19?
“During the pandemic, I have tried to walk with my daughter everyday, some baking with her too and I had the opportunity to learn and try new activities that before the pandemic have not received the chance of trying them such as hair cutting and knitting…But during the pandemic, I learned that some jobs look simple in a glance, but in the reality, are complicated and you need experience and talent. Now I am more thankful and appreciate available services and all the hard workers in our community, country, and the world.”
Q. What do you do for fun outside of work?
“While I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and the kids around me; I love to bake, cook, and do some gardening to get connected to my inner self. Also, if I find spare time, I like to volunteer for schools, seniors or organizations that are important to me. I do some journaling for my daughter and trying to learn piano and improve my French language beside my daughter.”
Q. What are you excited about for the rest of 2021?
“I am excited to see a better life for all the people in the world, to see the earth a better place to live, and all the kids in the world safe, healthy, and happy. I look forward to seeing more people vaccinated in the world. I am very blessed for living in a country that humanity comes first, life of people is valuable, and people have been supported in a good way during pandemic.”
Q. What is your favorite part about working at NearZero Discovery?
“My valuable colleagues are very positive, honest, smart, respectful, and supportive. My favorite part of my job is the flexibility that I have with my hours. Even before pandemic, we have been allowed to work from home sometimes. Workflows are well managed, and everything is organized and documented in the best way.”
