At NearZero Discovery we have been using the VenioOne OnDemand (VOD) feature. Our clients and prospective clients have increasingly shown an interest in this option, but what does it mean? What are the benefits?

A “self-service” or “OnDemand” eDiscovery option gives clients more control over their projects. There is an initial set-up process to configure the system and templates based on the client’s needs, but after that the client is in control for the entire length of their projects. And when an on demand feature is web based, like our VOD option, users can easily work remotely with access to their projects whenever and wherever they need it.

When a new matter arises, clients have the power to immediately create their own project. Data can simply be dragged and dropped to be uploaded and automatically queued for processing. Once processing is completed the data becomes available to the users.

Need to add more users to a project? Client admins can be given the power to add and manage their own users.

Users can have access to an analytical dashboard to explore the data. They can also run searches and apply tags and redactions. When it comes time to produce documents, users can also create their own production sets and export the data. Download links to productions are provided via an email or can be downloaded through the web browser.

As an additional benefit, certain client user levels can also receive email notifications with job status updates. For example, confirmation of data uploads and processing.

Our team still provides support as needed but being able to have this control and convenience allows legal firms and companies to manage their projects directly.
